Leadership Development Program

Life is like a dogsled team. If you ain't the lead dog, the scenery never changes.
- Lewis Grizzard

At the Watsa Basketball Camp, we want to help you develop into a LEAD dog.

We believe becoming a lead dog requires 3 things:

  1. Having role models who are positive leaders (people to learn from)
  2. Experiencing leadership opportunities (the chance to try it out) and most importantly…
  3. Having the DESIRE to lead!

We can help you to grow as a leader by giving you the opportunity to interact with other leaders. We can also provide you with significant opportunities to be in a leadership role. But, you must first have the desire to become a leader!

Do you have the desire to develop your leadership abilities while playing tons of basketball?

August 19-24, 2012

We accept 8-10 players each summer into our Leadership Development Program (LDP). Positions fill on a first-come first-serve basis and the program is only available to male & female students who have completed grades 10-12.

Players participating in our Leadership Development Program participate in every part of the camp, from basketball skill sessions and team games to extra activities like rock climbing & swimming. LDP participants benefit from daily leadership sessions led by Mano Watsa, as well as opportunities to put their leadership skills into action, first hand.

To be register for our Leadership Development Program, you must check off the LDP box in the registration form when you register.

Please note: The registration fee and registration process is the same as it is for non-LDP campers.
